Community & Personal Involvement

Douglas Jenkins gives back to the community.  He is involved in numerous community based organizations throughout the Philadelphia area, including the Philadelphia Bar Ass​ociation, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Barristers’ Association, Asociación Puertorriqueños en Marcha and the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.  
         
As a Judge Pro Tempore for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, Civil Trial Division, Mr. Jenkins acts as a mediator facilitating settlement in major complex civil litigation cases.

          As a volunteer for the Advancing Civics Education (ACE) mentor program, Mr. Jenkins provided supplemental civic education in areas such as the fundamental principles of citizenship, democracy, and dispute resolution to high schools in the Philadelphia area.

          As Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asociacion Puertorriquenos en Marcha (“APM”) Mr. Jenkins aggressively advocated for Latinos in the Philadelphia area.  APM is a large Latino-based health, human services, community, and economic development non-profit organization with a fifty (50) million dollar budget helping Philadelphia area families in need.
